What is a pancake slip ring?

Pancake slip ring is a kind of electrical slip rings, sometimes we also called flat slip ring or disc slip ring. Pancake slip rings are specialized device used to transmit electrical signals and power between stationary and rotating parts of a system when there has a limited diameter for height installation.

There are two parts for electrical pancake slip rings, ring part and brush part. The ring part is a circuit board with ultra-thick copper layer, and then copper plating and hard gold plating to ensure high stability, low torque, free-maintenance and wear resistance features. Pancake slip rings normally applications in various industries, such as CT, crane, display table, LED rotating light ect., They enable the transmission of signals such as power, data, video, and control signals across the rotating interface.
