A separate slip ring is a device to transmit electrical signals and power from a across a rotating interface. It is commonly used in 360 degree rotating transmit power and signal from station part to rotating parts. The separate slip ring consists of a stationary and a rotating ring that contact each other with brushes or rollers connected to the stationary ring. The rotating ring conducts electrical signals and power from the stationary ring to the assembly mounted on it, thus ensuring uninterrupted connectivity between stationary and rotating parts.
